Running

Our juniors section is focussed on those at secondary school year 11 onwards.

If you are interested in athletics events generally we have an Athletics Academy which we try to run every term based at the Triangle. The Academy normaly runs for ten weeks and will provide broad coaching on athletics movements and a range of disciplines for those aged 11-14

For those who want to participate purely in endurance based running (800m and above) the club does accept those aged 13 and upwards. They will train in our development group with a mixture of adults and other over 13s. We encourage participation in events such as junior athletic and school competitions, 5k park runs, or just for fun. Each session includes various exercises for speed, strength and endurance and juniors are shown how to warm up properly and use stretching exercises to "warm down" afterwards.

All coaches have relevant qualifications, CRB checks and insurance cover.
