If you are pregnant or unsure if you might be, there are lots of organisations locally who can help. The FindItOut Centre offers free pregnancy tests and local support. You could also visit the Sexual Health Clinic at the Brow Medical Centre for pregancy testing and medical advice.

The two organisations below offer advice and support to those who are pregnant, particularly those facing an unplanned pregnancy. You could also contact National Health Service Pregnancy Counselling, National Hotline: 01926 311511, Family Planning, Advice, Contraceptive Pills, Emergency Contraception, Free Condoms, Smear Tests, Confidentiality Assured, Young People's Clinic, Advice on HIV, Advice on termination of pregnancy.

The Alternatives Pregnancy Counselling Centre exists to support those facing an unplanned pregnancy. This support includes free pregnancy testing, confidential counselling, on-going support (including antenatal classes, second-hand baby equipment, befriending). Alternatives also offers post-abortion counselling. Alternatives offers space and time to women to enable them to make a fully informed decision.

When?

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 10am-2pm.

'THE HAVEN' Pregnancy Counselling Centre offers a discreet opportunity to discuss the options, particularly for those women facing an unplanned pregnancy. Positive, practical support is also available, both during and after a pregnancy.

Free Pregnancy Test available

We are also able to offer post-abortion counselling for those women who decide on abortion, or have already had an abortion and have difficulties in coming to terms with this.
