Inter-generational ‘Water themed Film Project

The aim of this project is to engage community members of all ages in film making about the environmental issue of ‘water’ as identified by the Mid Sussex Sustainability Partnership (MSSP). Participants will learn how to plan, film and edit their own films on the subject of ‘Water’ its usage and change in its usage over time. The aim of the film project is encapsulated in the following sentences;

“To persuade people to value water (in Mid Sussex) by looking at its provision and use over the years. The process will allow people from different generations to understand the practicalities of filmmaking and include the views and experiences of people from all different generations.”

The project is on-going and a film on how to reduce water use in Mid Sussex will be ready to view online shortly.

The project has provided individuals aged 13+ with an opportunity to;

b) Meet other people in Mid Sussex, who are passionate about ‘environmental issues’ or ‘filming’,

c) Learn how to produce a short film from creating the story board through to editing the final film.
